Project 4: Surrealist Photobomb

I wanted to make a spooky image since it is October and I thought this mirror was pretty spooky. I wanted to make it have a reflection of something you could only see in the mirror because it was invisible in reality.

First I cleaned up the mirror from dust specs and used the healing brush to do that. Then I used the sponged tool as well and dodge and burn tool to edit the lighting in the lamp. 

My photo bomb luckily turned out to be a light painting which I made green by using a filter to match the color of the lamp. I wanted it to look like a spirt wizzing around the mirror.


I was very excited to use the surprise photo because it had a ghostly look to it and I thought it would be perfect for my image to make it look like a ghost in the mirror that was not seen outside of the mirror. I also made it the same color as the lamp almost as if the lamp was the object that was haunted and when it was in front of the mirror all of it's past owners were there with it haunting the house it was brought to.
