Gillian Brown Third Project
When thinking of an object to use for this project, my first idea was my initiation pin for my sorority. This pin is very special to me and my organization. I love to scrapbook and I thought trying a digital approach would be a perfect way for this project. After a while, it just was not cutting it.

I tried a couple of more attempts to really show sisterhood in a narrative way, I love to make collages and it was very overwhelming when making these projects. Again, it was hard not to use any words. All of the early attempts at this piece seemed to be scrapbook pages. I tried at least four different approaches to this idea of Sisterhood, all without words and trying to capture a narrative. None of them seemed to fully describe it.

Finally, I found a simpler way to fully show what my organization holds. Our sisterhood is strong and I couldn't ask for a better woman to be friends with. I realized that there were lots of movement in my pictures that I choose. I arranged for them that they were all pointing towards our logo and my initiation pin. This shows that we all have a common goal in our sisterhood and how we are all connected. Lastly, I added minimalistic lines in the back to tie us all together.
