Personal Artifact

Greetings from Earth 

My artifact is an elephant that was brought back from India by my late grandpa who was born in Goa, India. Elephants in India are not always treated well. It seems humans not only practice animal cruelty but also don't care about climate change. 

Here is the photo I ended up using, I wanted to do something with the water but ended up just painting the elephant and putting it into a new setting to make a statement on global warming. 

I ending up using different brushes and found a fire brush I enjoyed using and thought that the holes in the elephant would be interesting to work with. I wanted my artifact project to also look like an artifact so I made it a old postcard post the apocalypse caused by climate change due to humanity. 

I realized I wasn't supposed to use text but ultimately believe it looks better with text as to go along with the post card.
