Project 1 Gillian

My appliance is a French press. I absolutely love coffee and I wanted to turn this appliance into a fantasy. I took lots of pictures and found some on the internet to brainstorm angles for my object. 

Heres the picture I ended up using for the majority of my work. This perfectly put things in perspective for me.

 

This was my first trace around my objects. This was extremely difficult for me and I wanted to use an object I was totally familiar with.

After a couple of days I got a little more confidence using this program and really liked what I was seeing

I added fish inside my French press so symbolize earth and I also added a recyclable mug. My moral is that people think they are recycling using a mug but they are not actually helping the earth in the big picture. The mountain scene in the back shows that they are sitting back and not actually helping.

I have never used Illustrator and always wanted to try it. This project was difficult but it was all worth it. I had a bunch of problems saving my artwork and it kept setting me behind. My final was not my intentional final but now I know a little bit more on what I am doing. I will definitely like to update and try more techniques in the future on this project.
