Destroy The Icon: Leah Roper
For this project, I wanted to focus on Post Malone. He is one of my most favorite musical artists, and I felt it would be best to create something of him for that reason. Instead of doing a tribute or having him stand as an inspiration, I wanted to show the darker side of the music industry.
I chose four images that I would work with to begin.
Artists constantly lose their identity, causing them to forget get who they are and why they started in the first place. Post Malone on the other hand has stayed himself so far and hasn't gotten lost in the fame and fortune. I kept him somewhat recognizable to show this.

I then focused my pattern on lines.
I used my scanned image of a Ferris wheel, dedicated to his song circles.
This project was more about experimentation and how I could present Post Malone as himself, yet adding my own style. I wanted to pursue somewhat of his style, while also showing how the music industry could change a person, without being direct and more abstract.
